1. What is Buzztime?
Buzztime is a new interactive entertainment network that will revolutionize the way pub quizzes are played. It enables pub-goers across the country to play games and quizzes against each other for fun, prizes and recognition.
Launched in the UK on 1 st March 2005, Buzztime uses TV screens to display the questions and wireless handheld game controllers, called Playmakers®, for players to input their answers. Themed games start every half hour from 11am until 11pm covering subjects such as Travel, Sports, History and General Trivia, and all games are totally free to play. In addition, between 7pm and 8pm each night, there are more challenging Buzztime "The Big Games" that during promotional periods offer valuable prizes to the winning teams and pubs.
Players in participating pubs are ranked in real time on television screens during each game. After each game, players are also ranked against fellow quizzers in other participating locations across the UK , with the results displayed on the Buzztime Network and the www.buzztime.co.uk website.
Buzztime Network currently broadcasts in over 3,600 pubs and restaurants in North America , and has more than 1.6 million active players. The UK launch is in collaboration with four other UK companies that are driving quiz content, pub sales, technical support and marketing.

3. How Much is Buzztime?
Buzztime is free to play – all day, and everyday. The idea is to add to the fun of your time in the pub. However please note that some pubs may charge a refundable deposit for the use of the Playmaker.

5. What can I win with Buzztime?
The main idea behind Buzztime is to have fun with your mates in the pub.Although Buzztime is competitive, and everyone wants to be top of the League, Buzztime is not about winning large amounts of money or prizes. However, we do occasionally run prizes on some of our "Big Games". See Competitions for details.

6. Is Buzztime gambling?
No, we do not charge for playing, and although some of the games do involve luck or chance, they are simply for fun. Any prizes that are available are on the games that require skill and judgement.

7. What is PlayersPlus?
Players Plus is a simple and free registration service. It enables us to know who you are, to send you any prizes that you may win and keep you up to date with news and information on the service. You can also keep track of your scores and positioning in the league tables from the PlayersPLus section of the website.
